Bikes for sale, Kyoto
August 12th, 2009And at about 94 yen / dollar, not badly priced. Lots of "bikies" in Kyoto.
The photo chronologically belongs to August 12, not 11, but so what. Makes sense here.
Biking Kyoto
August 12th, 2009Shot I took (from a moving bus, not "point and shoot," but more like "point and pray"), of people riding bikes in Kyoto.
Does have a sense of immediacy, if not the best shot I took.
That it even came out seems a minor miracle, given all the things moving at the time.
Bicycle racks, Kyoto
August 12th, 2009Exercise- and environmentally-minded Japanese (and a few foreigners) like to bike Kyoto. Lots of bikes in Kyoto!
Japanese water buckets, shrine close to Haian Shrine
August 12th, 2009Just walked in the place & snapped this photo. Don't remember exactly what the buckets are about -- someone help me out here, Teresa? Something in Buddhist or Shinto culture.
