Remnants of the Zen Cafe, Okinawa

Out of business now.
Outside the Knotty Pine Cafe, Okinawa
August 9th, 2009Sign outside the Knotty Pine Cafe, Okinawa. Again, it is almost certainly not "The Knotty Pine Cafe" in Japanese. Many memories of hanging out with Anne, drinking 500-yen no-refill Japanese coffee & having pasta dishes.
The Knotty Pine Cafe, Okinawa
August 9th, 2009The Knotty Pine Cafe, Okinawa City, Okinawa.
Where Anne Tibbitts & Dean Moore went for many a lunch & coffee.
The Japanese would take pasta, an Italian thing, and put seaweed & mushrooms on it & make it Japanese. Weirdly good.
Notably, "The Knotty Pine Cafe" is what we called it, certainly not its actual name in Japanese.
